Clubs and bars can be noisy, we do not have either, but you have a vast selection available in Aberystwyth, and although there is not a shop, the site is very conveniently situated for the recently opened out of town shopping precinct together with a selection of village shops nearby.The town offers a vast range of other pastimes within easy reach including a Cinema, Tenpin Bowling, and large shopping centre. Sports Centre with swimming pool, beach, Historic Buildings etc.

The local public House "THE TOLLGATE" is just a short walk, ideal for an evening meal, or Sunday lunch, when they operate a Carvery. Also closeby is a small row of shops comprising "Spar", "Co-op" "Butchers" and mandatory "Chip Shop".

The Great Outdoors

Surrounding Aberystwyth is some of the most beautiful countryside in Wales, where access is easy, including Bwlch Nant yr Arian where there is a Visitor Centre and Red Kite feeding station.

There are 2 scenic way marked walks, and an all ability lakeside walk, breathtaking views and the visitor centre and cafe is open 10am to 5pm, in winter it is open 10am till dusk, and it is accessible to wheelchair too. Further details of tourist destinations, and leaflets are available at the office, free of charge, directions and advice too.


There is access to 2 cycle paths closeto the park one of which follows the old railway line travelling south from Aberystwyth.


Last but not least

Midfield is also home to Midfield Stud, where Welsh Section B·s and part-bred Arabs are shown and occasionally bred. It is also home to Midfield Butterscotch, a part-bred Arab, a Royal Welsh Show winner .
